Writing Skills Details:

Our Writing Skills lessons focus on building children's confidence when writing and communicating in English. With a focus on creative writing, we teach children a range of skills, language and vocabulary, to help children express themselves in English. The content we cover is adapted from some of our main courses, but offered at a discounted rate for home educated students and those living overseas.

Dates for September 2026 - July 2027

OPTION A: AUTUMN TERM 2026
Time: Wednesdays 9.30-10.30am
Dates: 16th September, 23rd September, 30th September, 7th October, 14th October, 21st October, 4th November, 11th November, 18th November, 25th November, 2nd December, 9th December
NB: There is no lesson on 28th October due to half term.

Course: Creative Writing Tasks

OPTION B: SPRING TERM 2027
Time: Wednesdays 9.30-10.30am
Dates: 6th January, 13th January, 20th January, 27th January, 3rd February, 10th February, 17th February, 24th February, 3rd March, 10th March, 17th March, 24th March
NB: There is no break for half term for this course.

Course: Holes (During this term, the students will read Holes by Louis Sachar, whilst completing a range of activities based on the book)

OPTION C: SUMMER TERM 2027
Time: Wednesdays 9.30-10.30am
Dates: 21st April, 28th April, 5th May, 12th May, 19th May, 26th May, 9th June, 16th June, 23rd June, 30th June, 7th July, 14th July
NB: There is no lesson on 2nd June due to half term.

Course: When The Sky Falls (During this term, the students will read When The Sky Falls by Phil Earle, whilst completing a range of activities based on the book)

General Details:

• The online classes are led by a highly experienced teacher.
• £16 per hour (£192 for the 12 week block). All course prices are inclusive of VAT. If you are based outside of the UK, the course price (without VAT) will be updated at checkout but you may be subject to additional bank charges, which are determined by your financial institution.
• Homework is marked and pre-recorded videos of the lessons are available.
• Please choose to pay via PayPal at the checkout if you would like to pay in instalments.
• Once booked, places are non-refundable as stated in our Terms and Conditions.
• The tutors running our courses are qualified teachers with exemplary references. All tutors hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate and are signed up to the Update Service.
