What are the 11+ Examinations?

The 11+ examinations are examinations that your child may take in year 6 for entry into an independent secondary school or selective grammar school.

Grammar schools do not release past papers and you can find out more information about them here.

Many of the Independent Secondary Schools release 11+ past papers or specimen papers, which we have included many links for below. You can find out more specific information about the 11+ examinations for independent secondary schools here.

Past Papers Marking Service

At Bright Light Education, we have qualified teachers who are highly experienced at marking entrance examination papers and can do this for you, if required. They will not use the schools’ marking schemes (as these are usually not made available) but will mark them using their own answer schemes.

Please contact us to find out more.

Many schools publish their past papers which are freely available to download. We have provided links to many of these papers below. Occasionally, schools update their websites and so please contact us if the link no longer works, or you cannot find what you are looking for. Please note that schools change their exam format and so it is essential you check the school’s own website for their latest examination information.
