11+ Guided Study Programme

Designed for busy families who want expert guidance at an affordable cost, this subscription provides all the structure your child needs to stay motivated and on track. It is suitable for Years 3-6 children and can be started at any point in the year. It covers maths, English, VR and NVR, or a selection of these to suit your needs.

11+ Guided Study Programme Details:

Our subscription based programme consists of the following:

Tutor Support: Your child will be matched with a suitable tutor with the relevant teaching experience needed to support your child. Based on the initial information you have provided, we will create a Study Programme for your child. We will set work once a week, which can be completed all in one go or spread out throughout the week. We will monitor progress and target the areas for improvement. Please note that this programme does not include live teaching; however your child's tutor will be available via WhatsApp Messaging for questions or support. Responses are provided within 48 hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays). 

Regular Tasks: Work will be assigned once a week on a Monday via Atom Enterprise for your child to complete at home in their own time. Tasks are set based on your requirements (which subjects / how many questions). For example, you may choose 35 questions per week, per subject. You and your child can choose how the work will be completed, such as:

• completing all questions for all subjects on one day;
• designating different days for completing the questions for different subjects;
• completing a set number of questions for each subject every day, returning to the tasks daily.

Created by Atom Learning, Atom Enterprise is an advanced online platform for tuition agencies designed to set practice and measure progress. With over 90,000 questions, it offers comprehensive coverage of Key Stage 2 and 11+ content. Importantly, it is broadly aligned with major exam boards including GL Assessment, ISEB Pre-Test, and Quest Assessments. Content is most closely matched to Quest Assessments, currently used by over 150 independent and grammar schools across the UK. Your child will receive an individual login for the online platform. Parents are encouraged to create a free parent account to link with their child’s account and to select a first-choice target school within the platform. 

Adaptive and Personalised: While following the national curriculum and 11+ topics, the tasks are adaptive and personalised, ensuring your child studies material at the right level. Your tutor will regularly revisit key topics to strengthen understanding and retention. Tasks will be amended throughout the programme, to match your child's changing needs.

Instant Feedback: Your child will receive instant feedback through the platform. Every question is automatically marked, with clear explanations and helpsheets to support understanding and improvement.

Personalised Feedback: Your tutor will review your child's results and provide regular feedback to you, highlighting progress and areas for improvement. 

Monthly Progress Tracking: At least once a month, you will receive a scorecard for your child. This scorecard will show the following:

• Your child's overall score for each subject (a percentage showing the likelihood that your child will be able to answer an average difficulty level question correctly).
• A comparison with an average student in their year group (based on Atom data).
• A comparison with an average applicant to your child's target school (if data is available for that school).
• An overall grade for each subject.

11+ Guided Study Programme General Details:

• The programme is subscription based. Within 24 hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays), you will receive an email from us providing you with all the necessary information to get started.
• Each subscription begins with a 14-day free trial, which includes the time needed to get the programme set up. No charge will be made during the trial period. On the 15th day, the first monthly payment will be taken automatically using your saved payment method. Payments then recur monthly on the same date until the subscription is cancelled. You may cancel at any time during the trial or before your next renewal date to avoid further charges.
• Parents may cancel their subscription at any time through their online Bright Light Education account. The subscription will remain active until the end of the current paid billing period, after which no further payments will be collected. Refunds are not issued for partial months or unused portions of the programme.
• We strongly recommend checking the entry requirements of your target schools. Bright Light Education cannot accept responsibility for any discrepancies between this programme and specific school exams.
• Please note that if you require a live 1:1 teaching session, you will need to book this separately through our Tutor Referral Agency.
• This is not an Atom Home subscription.

Academic Benchmark Assessment

Many parents choose to take an Academic Benchmark Assessment at the start of the programme, and then at termly intervals. The Academic Benchmark Assessment (ABA) is an online assessment that students can complete at home. It evaluates academic ability in English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning. The ABA provides parents and tutors with a clear, accurate picture of a student’s current performance, informing parents of their child's current Standardised Age Score and a Performance Breakdown for each of the four subjects. The ABA is not included in the price of the 11+ Guided Study Programme but can be purchased as an additional extra.
