Bright Light Education UK LLP. Terms and Conditions for Bright Light Education Courses and Workshops
Bright Light Education UK LLP is a registered Limited Liability Partnership (Partnership Number: OC434332), whose registered office is situated at 72 Dover house road, SW15 5AT. The website is https://brightlighteducation.co.uk.
You are referred to as ‘the Client’. You agree to the purchase of tutoring services on behalf of ‘the Student’. ‘The Student’ may be yourself or another person. The Student is the person who receives the tutoring service through courses or workshops, either in person or online.
The terms “us/we/our” refer to Bright Light Education UK LLP.
The “Tutor” is the person who tutors the Client or Student.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
If you continue to engage with Bright Light Education UK LLP, you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions of Bright Light Education UK LLP.
WHO WE ARE:
Bright Light Education UK LLP is a member of The Tutors’ Association, which is the only professional membership body for tutoring and the wider supplementary education sector in the UK. As a member, we have signed and must adhere to the “Code of Professional Practice for Tutoring Companies” and all of our Tutors must sign and adhere to the “Code of Ethics for Tutors”. Both documents are available upon request.
Bright Light Education UK LLP act as the principals in providing “Bright Light Education Courses and Workshops” to Students. These courses are created by Bright Light Education UK LLP and whilst tutors may deliver our courses, we are responsible for the course content.
Our Tutors must be qualified teachers with enhanced DBS checks (unless stated otherwise on the tutor profile). Before we allow tutors to join our network, we interview them to ensure that their teaching values are in line with our own. We also require them to sign an Agreement with us to show their commitment and professional attitude towards teaching. They must also read, understand and agree to these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Safeguarding and Privacy Policies. We sometimes require references from their employers. All our Tutors are self-employed.
Bright Light Education UK LLP runs its own Courses and Workshops. Lesson content is created by Bright Light Education UK LLP. Self -Employed Tutors may run the courses on behalf of Bright Light Education UK LLP, or they may be run by the partners of Bright Light Education UK LLP.
Bright Light Education UK LLP shall not be liable under any circumstances for any loss, expense, damage, delay, costs or compensation (whether direct, indirect or consequential) which may be suffered or incurred by the Client arising from or in any way connected with Bright Light Education UK LLP. For the avoidance of doubt, Bright Light Education UK LLP does not exclude liability for death or personal injury arising from its own negligence.
AGREEMENT WITH BRIGHT LIGHT EDUCATION UK LLP:
By booking a Course or Workshop, the Client agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions for the provision of tutoring services. This agreement governs the relationship between the Client, Bright Light Education UK LLP and the Tutor, and the Client is not permitted to make any private or other arrangements with the Tutor who has been introduced by Bright Light Education UK LLP.
The Client acknowledges that the copyright of the course and its materials is owned by Bright Light Education UK LLP. The Client agrees that they shall not copy the course or its materials for its own business purposes or disclose to any person without the prior written consent of Bright Light Education UK LLP.
Bright Light Education UK LLP has the right to terminate a Child’s attendance from the course if the Child’s behaviour is deemed inappropriate and is affecting negatively on other attendees.
A breach of this term will render the Client liable to Bright Light Education UK LLP for any sums paid direct to the Tutor without deduction. Bright Light Education UK LLP shall be entitled to seek an injunction against the Client to prevent further breaches. This obligation continues beyond the termination or conclusion of this agreement.
- Home-Schooling Courses:
We require a minimum of half a term’s commitment for home-schooling courses. Payment must be paid in advance to cover the half term and is non-refundable. Money cannot be refunded for missed lessons. Discounts are sometimes available for siblings / special offers.
- Workshops and Courses:
Payment for workshops and courses must be made by the date specified and is non-refundable. Money cannot be refunded for missed lessons (except in special circumstances). Discounts are sometimes available for siblings / special offers.
- Cancellations by the Client:
Bright Light Education Courses and Workshops are non-refundable once payment has been made.
- Cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances:
If workshops or courses cannot go ahead due to unforeseen circumstances and need to be cancelled by Bright Light Education UK LLP, then the Client will be refunded fully.
The Client confirms that they have read, understood and agrees to the following policies of Bright Light Education Ltd. These policies are:

Bright Light Education UK LLP shall not be liable for any loss, expense, damage, delay, costs or compensation which may be incurred by the Student or Client whilst connected to the tuition, only where it is prescribed by law.
Whilst we work exceptionally hard to support and extend the learning of all students, we are not responsible for lack of progress, exam failure and negative school report grades.
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
These terms constitute the whole agreement between the Client and Bright Light Education UK LLP and no variation or alteration of these terms shall be valid unless approved in writing by a partner of Bright Light Education UK LLP. Bright Light Education UK LLP reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions and will notify the Client in writing of any changes.
The Client acknowledges that these terms govern the legal rights and obligations between the Client and Bright Light Education UK LLP.
