Bright Light Phonics Part 1 (Phase 2)

Are you looking to support your child with reading and writing?

This 12-week structured pre-recorded course is ideal for children who are just starting to read and write English. It works alongside our book, Bright Light Phonics: Book 1, which can be purchased separately via Amazon.

What is included?

• A pre-recorded video for each of the 12-weeks. Each video matches with the relevant section in our Bright Light Phonics: Book 1. Simply start the video each week and let your child watch and listen to the video, whilst working through the activities in the book. The video will help you and your child to pronounce the sounds correctly. Once you and your child have watched the video, you have all week to practise speaking, reading and writing the sounds with confidence.
• Support from a tutor to answer any questions you might have - just send us an email. 

Who is this course suitable for?

• This course is suitable for all children who are learning to read and write English.
  • It both supports and reinforces phase 2 phonics for Reception children in England. Reception children are those entering the first year of primary school (4-5 year olds). This programme will fit well with your child’s own school teaching of phonics.
  • For some children, they may be ready to start their phonics journey from preschool age (3 years old) and some nursery settings teach the phase 2 sounds in the year before children begin school. This programme can help to support these children.
  • For those children not in a school environment in England but who speak English, the programme is suitable for children as they start learning to read and write, typically 4-6 year olds.
  • The course is also perfect for non-English speaking children of all ages who are learning to read and write English.
