A highly experienced, positive and encouraging teacher. Crucially, one of the most important aspects of tutoring is to develop a strong pupil/teacher relationship. I have found that the pupils who place their trust in me and value my opinion, listen much more carefully during lessons and thrive on the praise that they receive. Ultimately, this means that they make excellent progress and fulfil their potential. Having taught all subjects to children from Year 2 up to Year 8, I have a strong grasp of children’s needs and expected progress at every single step of their formative years and I am a strong believer that children have a right to excellent teaching at every step of their education. I look forward to instilling children with skills and a sense of confidence, inspiring them with engaging, targeted, effective teaching so that they take pleasure in learning and experience enjoyment and success.

“Penny is amazing. We are very happy with her standard of teaching and ability to engage our son even when he is not so in the mood. She has the fantastic charisma that draws our son’s attention to her lessons. I am very happy with Penny and highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you very much for the introduction. We feel very lucky to have her as our son’s tutor. Many thanks.” (parent)
