I have been teaching for the last nine years. I have taught in London and in Dubai. Most of my experience has been in the EYFS where I have developed a love for teaching early reading and maths skills. I have taken part in successful EYFS moderations and worked with Early Years advisors to create stimulating learning environments. I believe that the strongest lessons makes learning accessible to children on different levels. I am also passionate about developing children’s vocabulary as research has shown that this is a predictor for success in their later education. I have a passion for teaching early phonic skills and developing children’s blending and segmenting abilities. I believe that the best way to achieve this is through consistency and making things fun. I am currently mentoring an early career teaching, who is also teaching in the early years. This has allowed me to develop my teaching skills further.
