Hannah
I have experience of working in schools with children from a variety of backgrounds, aged between 3-11; this includes those with English as an Additional Language, as well as Special Educational Needs.
I am perceptive and meticulous in my assessment of my students’ learning; I am sensitive to children’s misconceptions in their knowledge and I work hard to ensure these are anticipated in my planning.
I work hard at really getting to know the children I teach, and I strive to deliver inclusive and creative lessons that will challenge them, but play to their interests and strengths. I work collaboratively and actively with parents and teaching fellows, such that I might benefit from their experience and specific knowledge of the children.
I have a strong working knowledge of traditional and contemporary children’s books and creative approaches to teaching with literature in primary schools. I have an accreditation in Jolly Phonics teaching; Safeguarding Level 2 training and specific training in the use of bar-modelling in Primary Maths and the teaching of poetry with Michael Rosen.
I teach in person and online.
